Over the weekend, the NY Times ran an article on all of the networks’ needs for fresh ideas, especially after having so many failures this season. As part of that, the article states that CBS “will bring back Mike and Molly, Hawaii Five-0, and Blue Bloods from this season.”
CBS hasn’t confirmed this information but, considering it’s the NY Times, one has to assume that the authors did their due diligence. Since all three of them have been successful for CBS, renewals certainly aren’t a surprise.
Interestingly, the article don’t mention CBS’ other freshman bubble show, Criminal Minds: Suspect Behavior. That series has underperformed for the network so very easily could be cancelled. If it does come back, word is that it will be retooled.
The article also states that CBS execs are still trying to decide whether to cancel one of the CSI series in favor of picking up a new series, Persons of Interest.
CBS holds their advertiser upfront presentation on Wednesday afternoon. You can keep up with the comings and goings by bookmarking and checking this list.
