The announcement was jointly made today by Sharon Levy, Executive Vice President, Original Series, Spike and Bob Weinstein, Co-Chairman The Weinstein Company.

“The Mist” tells a harrowing story about a seemingly innocuous mist that seeps into a small town and creates immense havoc. She is also known for playing the older version of her character Moira O’Hara on season one of the television anthology series “American Horror Story,” which garnered Conroy an Emmy® nomination. Conroy subsequently portrayed The Angel of Death, Myrtle Snow and Gloria Mott on the next three seasons of the show, “Asylum,” “Coven” and “Freak Show,” respectively. For her performance in “Coven,” she was nominated again for an Emmy®. Conroy can also be seen in the Hulu original series “Casual.” Conroy is represented by Echo Lake Entertainment and Paradigm Talent Agency.

Christian Torpe and Amanda Segel are Executive Producers of “The Mist.”

Bob Weinstein, Harvey Weinstein and David Glasser are Executive Producers for TWC-Dimension Television.
