How many more seasons will Modern Family run for? Deadline reports there may be an 11th season in the works for the ABC TV show.
The long-running sitcom is heading into its 10th season, which debuts on September 26th at 9 p.m. ET/PT. The cast includes Ed O’Neill, Julie Bowen, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Sofía Vergara, Ty Burrell, Eric Stonestreet, Sarah Hyland, Ariel Winter, Nolan Gould, Rico Rodriguez, Aubrey Anderson-Emmons, and Jeremy Maguire.
According to Deadline, ABC and producer 20th Century Fox TV are negotiating terms for an 11th and final season of Modern Family. Even though the cast is only contracted through season 10, ABC boss Channing Dungey says they are trying to work a new deal out:
We have had some conversations with 20th (the studio that produces Modern Family). There are conversations ongoing. I think that there is a sense that we all would like to do one more season if we can find a way for a deal that makes sense. This current season is the last season that we have the cast, so if we are to do another season there are more deals to be made, and we are trying to work through all that.”
