Mr. Robot: Season Three Ratings

Although its ratings dropped a lot in season two, USA Network did not cancel its award-winning Mr. Robot TV show. In addition to renewing it, they delayed the premiere of what was originally a summer series until the more competitive fall. Can this techno-thriller live up to heightened expectations, or will it suffer a meltdown? Will Mr. Robot be cancelled or renewed for season four? Stay tuned.

A USA drama series from creator Sam Esmail, Mr. Robot stars Rami Malek, Carly Chaikin, Portia Doubleday, Martin Wallström, Christian Slater, Michael Cristofer, Stephanie Corneliussen, Grace Gummer, B.D. Wong, and Bobby Cannavale. The story centers on Elliot Alderson (Malek), a young programmer who is recruited by an underground hacker group to destroy the corrupt and dangerous firm he is paid to protect. Season three explores the characters’ motivations and the disintegration between Elliot and Mr. Robot.

The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s chances of staying on the air. The higher the ratings, the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available.

For comparisons: The second season of Mr. Robot on USA averaged a 0.30 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 742,000 viewers.

These are different from the fast affiliate numbers which are just estimates of the actual ratings and are reported on by most other outlets. The final nationals are typically released within 24 hours of the programming or, in the case of weekends and holidays, a couple days later.
