My Big Redneck Vacation, Bayou Billionaires: CMT Orders Second Seasons

My Big Redneck Vacation season twoCable channel CMT has renewed reality shows My Big Redneck Vacation and Bayou Billionaires for second seasons. Both TV shows debuted just last month and have been a big success for CMT on Saturday nights.

Both of the programs are still airing the 10 episodes of their first seasons and are scheduled to conclude on March 24th. The cable channel hasn’t decided how many episodes they want for the second seasons but both My Big Redneck Vacation and Bayou Billionaires will return in June.

The Dowden Family, Tom Arnold and the Clampets Will Return to CMT in June

NASHVILLE – February 23, 2012 – CMT’s new Saturday night series BAYOU BILLIONAIRES and MY BIG REDNECK VACATION have been picked up for second seasons, it was announced today by Jayson Dinsmore, EVP, programming and development, CMT. Both series debuted in January to record-breaking numbers, and have gone on to become the two highest-rated original series in CMT history. The second seasons of BAYOU BILLIONAIRES and MY BIG REDNECK VACATION are scheduled to premiere in June (number of episodes TBD).

“‘Bayou Billionaires’ and ‘My Big Redneck Vacation’ with Tom Arnold have energized Saturday nights on CMT and become runaway hits for the network,” said Dinsmore. “We’ve only begun to scratch the surface with both of these fantastic families and look forward to even more laughs next season from the Bayou and beyond.”

BAYOU BILLIONAIRES tells the story of the hardworking and close-knit Dowden family of Shreveport, La. who recently struck it rich when the fourth largest deposit of natural gas in the United States was found on their property. MY BIG REDNECK VACATION, hosted by Tom Arnold, follows the extended Clampet family as they experience the vacation-of-a-lifetime in the Hamptons. The finales of both series will premiere on Saturday, March 31, beginning at 9 p.m. ET/PT.

BAYOU BILLIONAIRES is produced by Magilla Entertainment. Brian Flanagan, Matt Ostrom, Laura Palumbo Johnson and Brad Johnson serve as executive producers. Eliot Goldberg and Jayson Dinsmore serve as executive producers for CMT.

MY BIG REDNECK VACATION is produced by Pink Sneakers. Kimberly Belcher Cowin, John Ehrhard and Brad Johnson serve as executive producers. Lewis Bogach and Jayson Dinsmore serve as executive producers for CMT.
