NBC TV show ratingsThe peacock network offers their spin on the primetime and late-night ratings for Monday, September 10th.

Monday Results:

· From 8-10 p.m. ET, “The Voice” (4.1 rating, 11 share in adults 18-49, 12.0 million viewers overall) delivered the #1 results of the night in 18-49 and total viewers, winning the time period head to head versus Fox’s season finales of “Hell’s Kitchen” and “MasterChef” by a margin of 64 percent in 18-49 rating (4.1 vs. 2.5) and 90 percent or 5.7 million persons in total viewers.

· “The Voice” delivered dramatic growth through its time period, generating this track in 18-49 rating: 3.2, 3.9, 4.6, 4.7, for a gain of 47percent from the show’s first half-hour to its fourth. In total viewers, the increase is 28 percent or 2.8 million persons (13.0 million vs. 10.2 million).

· “The Voice” is up 37 percent versus NBC’s 18-49 average in the time period last season (4.1 vs. 3.0) and 39 percent in total viewers (12.035 million vs. 8.682 million), despite debuting on a late-summer Monday, two weeks prior to the start of the new season and opposite the finales of Fox’s top two summer series. Versus its averages for the show’s final four Monday telecasts last spring, “The Voice” is up 11 percent in 18-49 (4.1 vs. 3.7) and 19 percent in total viewers (12.035 vs. 10.149 million).

· From 10-10: 30 p.m. ET, a preview of “The New Normal” (2.5/6 in adults 18-49, 6.9 million viewers overall) generated strong sampling, leading the half-hour among ABC, CBS and NBC in every key category, and topping the combined rating of ABC’s and CBS’s mostly encore competition in adults 18-49 (2.5 vs. 1.4 for CBS’s varied programming and 0.8 for ABC’s “Castle” encore).

· From 10: 30-11 p.m. ET, a encore telecast of “Go On” (1.8/5 in adults 18-49, 5.0 million viewers overall) also benefitted from solid sampling, as the rebroadcast matched the combined results of encore competition on ABC and CBS in 18-49 (1.8 vs. a 1.0 for CBS’s encore comedies and 0.8 for ABC’s rebroadcast “Castle).

· The “Go On” encore led the half-hour among ABC, CBS and NBC in every key category.

· NBC won Monday night in 18-49 and total viewers.

In Late-Night Metered Markets Monday night:

· In Nielsen’s 56 metered markets, household results were: “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno,” 2.5/6 with an encore telecast; CBS’s “Late Show with David Letterman,” 1.8/5 with an encore; and ABC’s combo of “Nightline,” 2.7/6; and “Jimmy Kimmel Live,” 1.2/4.

· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno,” 0.7/3 with an encore; “Late Show,” 0.4/2 with an encore; “Nightline,” 0.7/3; and “Jimmy Kimmel Live,” 0.4/2.

· At 12:35 a.m., “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon” (1.2/4 in metered-market households) beat CBS’s “Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson” (0.9/3). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, “Late Night” (0.4/3 in 18-49) topped “Late Late Show” (0.2/2).

· At 1:35 a.m., “Last Call with Carson Daly” averaged a 0.8/3 in metered-market households with an encore and a 0.2/2 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.
