NCIS: Season 14 Ratings

For the first time in NCIS’ very long history on CBS, Michael Weatherly isn’t part of the cast. Will this negatively impact the ratings for the network’s most-watched TV series? With such high ratings, the show wouldn’t be in danger of being cancelled and CBS has already renewed the show for season 15. Still, it’s fun to watch the ratings. Stay tuned.

On NCIS, Jethro Gibbs (Mark Harmon) and his team of special agents continue to investigate crimes that involve the US Navy and Marine Corps. The rest of the season 14 cast includes Brian Dietzen, David McCallum, Emily Wickersham, Pauley Perrette, Rocky Carroll, Sean Murray, Wilmer Valderrama, Jennifer Esposito, and Duane Henry.

The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. For comparisons: The 13th season of NCIS averaged a 2.21 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 16.61 million total viewers (live + same day ratings).

Ratings marked with an “*” are the fast affiliate ratings and will be updated with the Live+SD numbers when they are made available. Typically, networks get paid for C+3 ratings which includes DVR viewing within three days of the original airing when commercials are watched. Those numbers are rarely released to the press.
