Here’s the press release:
CBS RENEWS “NCIS,” THE #1 TELEVISION DRAMA SERIES IN THE U.S. AND WORLDWIDE, FOR TWO MORE SEASONS
“NCIS” STAR AND EXECUTIVE PRODUCER MARK HARMON SIGNS NEW TWO-YEAR DEAL
CBS announced today that it has renewed NCIS, the #1 television drama series in the U.S. and worldwide, for two more seasons, and that series star and executive producer Mark Harmon has signed a new two-year deal.
“It’s extraordinary that in its 13th season and with over 300 episodes to its credit, NCIS continues to excel at such a high level on a global scale,” said Glenn Geller, President, CBS Entertainment. “It is testimony to an amazing cast, led on and off the screen by the exceptional Mark Harmon, for skillfully bringing this universally appealing team of heroes to life; and to Gary Glasberg and his writers for crafting compelling stories that feature NCIS’s signature blend of mystery, quirk, drama and comedy every single week.”
Currently in its 13th season, NCIS is a member of the exclusive 20 million viewer club. The drama is averaging 20.47 million viewers, up +4% from a year ago and on pace to finish the season as network television’s #1 drama for the seventh consecutive year. In key demographics, NCIS ranks in the top 10 among adults 25-54, averaging 4.6/13, and is in the top 15 in adults 18-49, averaging 3.1/10. Also, NCIS ranks in the top 10 among time-shifted programs, gaining nearly +4 million viewers with 7-day playback.
NCIS is also an international hit, licensed in more than 200 markets. For the past two years, it has been awarded the International Audience Award by Eurodata TV Worldwide and The Monte Carlo Television Festival for being “the most watched drama series in the world.” It is a top performing U.S. series in Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Poland, Spain, Sweden and in the UK, among other countries.
NCIS premiered on CBS in 2003. During the 2009-2010 season, it became the #1 drama/scripted program on television, and has remained the #1 drama ever since.
What do you think? Do you like the NCIS TV series? Should season 15 be the end?
don”t cancel this show, all the good ones are going, what is wrong with television ?I understand that the actors get tired of a routine but replace them, don’y terminate a good thing.
NCIS is the best show of it’s kind. Nothing can compare to it. As long as the cast and writers are willing and can keep up the good work, I say PLEASE keep it on! Don’t let us down. The loss of each character is hard enough, don’t take the rest of our “family” away.
What’s going to Abby and Gibbs.I live by Gibbs rules.Im a Marine.
Great TV series!! Please keep them coming!!
NCIS is one of the best shows that is on TV. Hopefully, season 15 will not be the last. I LOVE the characters, and Mark Harmon as Gibbs is the BEST.
One of the best shows ever. Let it go on as long as the cast is willing to work on more episodes. The mix of drama and humor is unmatched by anything ever on tv. Love New Orleans too….but how can you beat Gibbs, Abby and company.
I LOVE the show, LOVE the characters in it. Gibbs makes the show. If season 15 is the end it will be missed in my home. Shows they have on these days suck.
Renew NCIS, NCIS NEW ORLEANS AND BULL. THESE SHOWS ARE MY FAVORITES AND ARE AWESOME SHOWS. AND IT WOULDN’T BE THE SAME WITHOUT THESE 3 SHOWS.
Almost the best show ever. Better than even JAG.15 years is not enough.
One of the best series ever. Better than my favorite JAG.Please jeep the series going. 15 years is not enough.

Has to continue beyond season 15. The main cast/characters are powerful in their own right, which is main contributor to a successful TV series. Must also give a “thumbs up” to the writers……
I love NCIS so I do not want them to leave ,I would like to see Tony and Ziva come back, thats the true family.
Thank You
