TV Land wants more Nobodies. Deadline reports the network has renewed the upcoming series for a second season ahead of its March debut.
From Melissa McCarthy and Ben Falcone, the comedy centers on three writers “as they try desperately to land one of their famous friends for a feature script that they have developed, so that they, too, can rise to fame in Hollywood.” The cast includes Groundlings alums Hugh Davidson, Larry Dorf, and Rachel Ramras, who also wrote the series. Guest appearances include Jason Bateman, Maya Rudolph, Jim Rash, and Nat Faxon.
Season one of Nobodies premieres on March 29th. TV Land has ordered 12 episodes for the show’s second season, which is expected to debut in 2018.
From TV Land chief Keith Cox:
“Picking up Nobodies for season two was a no-brainer when all these extremely talented people are behind it. It’s a bold, quirky, hilarious look at what happens when you will do or say anything to succeed in Hollywood.”
