Starring Edie Falco, Nurse Jackie began airing in June of 2009 and revolves around an emergency room nurse who’s juggling patients, doctors, other nurses, family responsibilities, and a list of indiscretions. Others in the cast include Eve Best, Haaz Sleiman, Merritt Wever, Paul Schulze, and Peter Facinelli.
So far this season, Nurse Jackie is averaging about 2.8 million viewers. Only about 750,000 watch on Monday nights with more than 70% catching it via On Demand. That’s a big difference from fellow Monday night series United States of Tara. That’s just been cancelled after three seasons.
There are eight episodes left in the current season of Jackie. The season finale airs on June 20th. There’s no word on when season four will debut but the last two seasons have kicked off in late March.
What do you think? Do you like the series? Are you glad that Nurse Jackie will be back for a fourth season?
