Once Upon a Time: Season Five Renewal for ABC Series

The backstories on Once Upon a Time continue to become more complex (confusing?) but enough viewers are willing to stick with it for ABC to want to renew the series for a fifth season.

Once Upon a Time follows the continuing adventures of fairytale characters who switch between their storybook world and Storybrooke, a small town in Maine. The ensemble cast includes Jennifer Morrison, Lana Parrilla, Ginnifer Goodwin, Josh Dallas, Robert Carlyle, Colin O’Donoghue, Emile de Ravin, Jared S. Gilmore, and Michael Socha.

This season, Once Upon a Time’s ratings saw a nice boost thanks to a vist from the characters from the animated Frozen musical film. The season’s averging a 2.21 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 6.66 million viewers. Season-to-season that’s down by about 6% in total viewership.
