We don’t have to worry whether Orphan Black will be cancelled or renewed for a sixth season. When BBC America and Canada’s Space channel renewed the drama for a fifth season, last year, they made it clear it was for a final installment. Showrunner Graeme Manson said that it was a creative decision. Even though it is ending, we’re still tracking the ratings, for a few reasons. It can help predict the likelihood of a spin-off or sequel. It helps us measure the success of other BBC America shows. And, it’s also fun.
A sci-fi thriller series, Orphan Black stars Tatiana Maslany as Sarah Manning and the Leda clones. The BBC America cast also includes cast also includes Jordan Gavaris, Maria Doyle Kennedy, Kristian Bruun, Kevin Hanchard, Evelyne Brochu, and Ari Millen. In the fifth and final season, expect a showdown with Rachel (Maslany), who has been out to destroy Sarah and her sestras from the start. With so many lives on the line, Sarah must plot her moves carefully.
