We don’t have to worry whether Orphan Black will be cancelled or renewed for a sixth season. When BBC America and Canada’s Space channel renewed the drama for a fifth season, last year, they made it clear it was for a final installment. Showrunner Graeme Manson said that it was a creative decision. Even though it is ending, we’re still tracking the ratings, for a few reasons. It can help predict the likelihood of a spin-off or sequel. It helps us measure the success of other BBC America shows. And, it’s also fun.
A sci-fi thriller series, Orphan Black stars Tatiana Maslany as Sarah Manning and the Leda clones. In the fifth and final season, expect a showdown with Rachel (Maslany), who has been out to destroy Sarah and her sestras from the start.
