Outcast: Cinemax Announces Premiere Date and Season Two Renewal

Outcast TV show

Outcast is coming soon. At SXSW this week, Cinemax announced its new horror series will premiere in June, and the show has already been renewed for a second season.

Outcast is based on the comic book series of the same name.

From The Walking Dead creator Robert Kirkman, Outcast follows Kyle Barnes (Patrick Fugit), “a young man who has been plagued by possession since he was a child.” Gabriel Bateman, Philip Glenister, Wrenn Schmidt, David Denman, Reg. E Cathey and Melinda McGraw also star in the series.

From Kirkman, in a press statement:

OUTCAST has been a passion project of mine for many years. Seeing it come together has been a huge thrill for me. What we’ve been able to achieve on CINEMAX, with its unprecedented creative freedom, frankly, almost scares ME at times.”

The 10-episode first season of Outcast begins June 3rd on Cinemax.
