Despite ratings that would see it cancelled on a broadcast network, the freshman outing of the Outcast TV show did pretty well for a Cinemax TV series. Now that it is back for a second season, can it build up its audience and earn higher Nielsen numbers? Will Outcast be cancelled or renewed for season three? Stay tuned. *Status update below.
A Cinemax horror drama from Robert Kirkman, season two of Outcast stars Patrick Fugit, Philip Glenister, Wrenn Schmidt, David Denman, Reg E. Cathey, Kate Lyn Sheil, Julia Crockett, and Brent Spiner. The supernatural series centers on Kyle Barnes (Patrick Fugit), who has been plagued by demonic possession all his life. Now an adult, Kyle is determined to find answers, while protecting his hometown, and everything and everyone he holds dear.

For comparisons: The first season of Outcast on Cinemax averaged a 0.06 rating in the 18-49 year old demographic and a total audience of 174,000 viewers.
Cable ratings are typically released within a day or so of the show’s airing, except for in the case of weekends and holidays.
