Parks and Recreation: 2011-12 TV Season Ratings

The second episode didn’t do any worse or any better than the first, registering a 2.1 in the demo with 4.33 million. Parks is currently ranks in the middle of NBC’s shows so it’s still safe.
Season average: 2.1 demo with 4.22 million.

Episode 04-01: Thursday, 9/22/11
It wasn’t a stellar season premiere for this sitcom. It attracted a 2.1 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 4.11 million viewers. Compared to last season’s debut, Parks was down by 34%. The network was down by 19% when compared to last year’s timeslot occupant, 30 Rock. Not much good news for NBC this season.


Reference point: The 2010-11 season averaged a 2.4 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 4.72 million viewers.

These are different from the fast affiliate numbers which are just estimates of the actual ratings and are reported on by most other outlets. The final nationals are typically released within 24 hours of the programming or, in the case of weekends and holidays, a couple days later.
