Fans are understandably upset that the show has been dumped and the cast can certainly sympathize. Here are their reactions to the sad news:
Michael Urie(Louis): “Thanks for the love and support! #Partners will have a special place in my heart, and the best part was how much y’all liked it. #bestfans”
He later joked, “First #Partners, now #666Park… The only thing that will make me feel better is a twinkie… Oh wait…” Urie also like one fan’s suggestion that, since and he and 666 Park Avenue star Vanessa Williams were now free, they should revie their Ugly Betty characters for a spin-off.
David Krumholtz (Joe): “Thanks for all the support.” “Grateful.” When asked if the remaining episodes will air sometime, the actor responded, “Cable. That is all.”
Earlier today, he tweeted, “TONIGHT! A BRAND SPANKING NEW EPISODE OF…. oh, wait. Nevermind.”
Brandon Routh (Wyatt): “Well, that’s it folks. Our run of #Partners is over. Thanks so much for your love, support, & dedication 2 our show. Much love from us 2 u.”
And later, “The outpouring of love from all of you this morning is so appreciated. To the 6mil of you who watched every week, thank you. So much love.”
And finally, “Let’s take all this Partners love & sadness and do something special with it. Text SHORE to 85944 to donate $10 to #SandyRelief @casinclair. I did last night. And I’m about to do it again. #PayIyForward #Grateful”
Tracy Vilar (Ro-Ro): “Wow, CBS cancelled #PARTNERS. So appreciative for all the support. Sad man, we worked so hard to keep people not laughing but cracking up!”
Jillian Bell (Renata, Ali’s cousin): “Bummed 2 hear that Partners was cancelled. Happy I got 2 meet some amazing people because of it. I will be sad not to see your faces often.”
What do you think? Are you also sorry that Partners has ended? What would you say to the cast and crew about the show?
