John Tavner will live to spy and write oddly confessional folk songs, another day. The Patriot TV show has been renewed for a second season on Amazon Prime. The quirky espionage drama series stars Michael Dorman, Michael Chernus, Terry O’Quinn, Kathleen Munroe, Kurtwood Smith, Aliette Opheim, Chris Conrad, Julian Richings, Gil Bellows, and Marcus Toji.
A political thriller, Patriot follows intelligence officer John Tavner (Dorman) on assignment to stop Iran from going nuclear. Creator, writer, and director Steven Conrad executive produces with James Parriott, Glenn Ficarra, John Requa, Charles Gogolak, and Gil Bellows.
The first season of Patriot premiered on Prime Video, on February 24, 2017 in the US, UK, Germany, and Austria. According to Deadline, season one will become available later this year on PrimeVideo.com for Prime Video members in more than 200 countries and territories.
