Does Powerless have any staying power? The NBC TV series is currently in the middle of its first season, but will there be a second? What do you think? Should the show be cancelled or renewed?

Part of the DC Comics universe, the Powerless TV show follows Emily Locke (Vanessa Hudgens). She’s the new Director of Research & Development for Wayne Security, a company that specializes in helping regular people feel a bit safer in a world of superheroes and villains. Emily’s full of confidence and has big ideas but she quickly discovers those are a bit beyond her new boss, Vanderveer “Van” Wayne (Alan Tudyk), the black sheep of his family. Her well-meaning officemates include Chief Design Officer Teddy (Danny Pudi), Chief Engineer Ron (Ron Funches), and Jackie (Christina Kirk), Van Wayne’s beleaguered and long-suffering executive assistant.

Powerless premiered in February to low ratings, and the numbers have fallen ever since. So far, season one is averaging a 0.74 rating in the 18-49 demo and 2.37 million viewers, making it one of NBC’s lowest-rated series for the 2016-2017 season.

Earlier, NBC boss Jennifer Salke said the network supported the show. However, days later, NBC pulled a new episode of Powerless and replaced it with a rerun of Trial & Error. A renewal seems highly unlikely.
