Preacher: Season Three Ratings

Preacher TV show on AMC: season 3 ratings (canceled renewed season 4?)

Despite a drop in the ratings last year, the Preacher TV show remained AMC’s fourth highest rated series in the 18-49 year old demo and fell just one slot, to sixth place, in terms of total viewers. Now that it is back for season three, will its Nielsen numbers rise, fall, or stay the same? Will Preacher be cancelled or renewed for season four? Stay tuned. *Status update below.

A comedic supernatural AMC drama from Sam Catlin, Evan Goldberg, and Seth Rogen, Preacher stars Dominic Cooper, Ruth Negga, Joseph Gilgun, Ian Colletti Graham McTavish, Pip Torrens, Julie Ann Emery, and Malcolm Barrett. Betty Buckley and Colin Cunningham join as season regulars in the third season, with Jeremy Childs, Liz McGreever, Jonny Coyne, Adam Croasdell, and Prema Cruz recurring. The story centers on West Texas preacher Jesse Custer (Cooper), his badass ex-girlfriend Tulip (Negga), and Irish vampire Cassidy (Gilgun) on their road trip to find God. Along the way, they’re drawn into a battle spanning Heaven, Hell and all points in between.

The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s chances of staying on the air. The higher the ratings, the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available.
