Hail to the chief. Comedy Central has ordered seven additional episodes for the first season of The President Show. The weekly political satire TV series premiered on Comedy Central on April 27, 2017 and airs Thursdays at 11:30pm.

The President Show stars creator Anthony Atamanuik as Donald J. Trump, host of his own talkshow. Peter Grosz plays Mike Pence. Atamanuik and Grosz executive produce with Adam Pally, Jason Ross, Olivia Gerke, Josh Lieberman, and Greg Walter.

NEW YORK, May 23, 2017 – In a sweeping victory, Comedy Central has extended the inaugural season of The President Show for an additional seven episodes, it was announced today by Kent Alterman, President, Comedy Central. Created by Anthony Atamanuik who hosts as Donald J. Trump, and produced by Clone Wolf Productions and 3 Arts Entertainment, this weekly, topical late night series airs on Thursdays at 11:30 p.m. ET/PT.

“Whether we’re witnessing the end of democracy, or merely the end of the world, it’s a privilege seeing it from the inside,” said Alterman.

“I’m so grateful that Comedy Central has decided to end its tenure as a cable network by renewing The President Show,” said Atamanuik.

The President Show, currently in its first season, debuted on April 27 to 1 million viewers (L3), the biggest audience for a Comedy Central series premiere since Broad City and is averaging 870,000 total viewers across its first four episodes. In its timeslot, the series adult 18-49 rating is up +21% versus a year ago and up +25% in total viewers. On digital, streams of The President Show are up nearly 400% versus all other Comedy Central premieres in 2017.

In the world of The President Show, Trump is bypassing the crooked media by hosting a late-night show direct from the Oval Office. No unfair questions from reporters, no awkward photo ops with German ladies, and no bedtimes. Just a fun show where he can put his unique Trumpian spin on such late-night staples as desk segments, field pieces and guest interviews. Vice President Mike Pence is featured as his sidekick, played by Peter Grosz. Sarah Babineau and Ari Pearce are the Executives in Charge of Production for Comedy Central.
