Private Eyes: Season Two Returns to Global TV in Summer 2018

Private Eyes TV show on ION: season 1 (canceled or renewed?)

Move over, Holmes and Watson. Another detective duo is here to stay. Recently, Global Television announced that season two of the TV show Private Eyes will resume next summer.

The comedy-drama stars Jason Priestley as Matt Shade, an ex-hockey player who teams up with private investigator Angie Everett (Cindy Sampson) to solve crimes. The cast also includes Barry Flatman, Jordyn Negri, Clé Bennett, and Ennis Esmer.

Global had ordered 18 episodes for season two of Private Eyes last year, with production slated to begin in Fall 2016. In March 2017, we reported that ION has picked the show up in the U.S. but they have not yet aired season one. It’s unclear if/when the U.S. cable channel will also air season two of the Canadian series.

The first season of Private Eyes debuted in March 2016 on Global and ran for 10 episodes. Season two of Private Eyes began airing on the Canadian network on May 25nd and is expected to run for nine episodes. The second group of nine episodes are slated to debut on Global Television in summer 2018.
