Fans of the Quantico TV show on ABC should brace themselves for some major changes. While we’ve known for a while that creator Josh Safran had stepped down as showrunner, his replacement had been unknown, ’til now. Code Black creator Michael Seitzman has been tapped as the new executive producer and Quantico showrunner.
After the ABC anti-terrorism drama eked out a scant 13-episode third season, Yasmine Al Massri, who played played twin FBI recruits Nimah and Raina, announced her departure. Soon thereafter we reported, Pearl Thusi, who played Dayana Mampasi, was exiting Quantico. Deadline reports Priyanka Chopra, Jake McLaughlin, Johanna Braddy, and Blair Underwood will be back, in season three.
According the the report, Aunjanue Ellis and Russell Tovey, are not expected to return — at least not as series regulars.
Quantico: A Look at the Ratings
It’s no surprise they’re retooling the show. The second season of Quantico averaged a 0.67 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 2.79 million viewers. Compared to season one, Quantico was down by 46% and 36%, respectively.
