What’s This TV Show About?
Airing on the OWN cable channel, Queen Sugar stars Rutina Wesley, Dawn-Lyen Gardner, Kofi Siriboe, Tina Lifford, Ethan Hutchison, Nicholas L. Ashe, Omar J. Dorsey, Dondré Whitfield, Timon Kyle Durrett, Greg Vaughan, and Marycarmen Lopez. This contemporary drama chronicles the lives and loves of the estranged Bordelon siblings. Following a family tragedy, they reunite in order to save the family sugarcane farm.
Season Two Ratings
The second season of Queen Sugar is averaging a 0.42 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 1.49 million viewers. Compared to season one, that’s down by 18% in the demo and down by 16% in viewership, respectively. Learn how Queen Sugar stacks up against other OWN TV shows.

Telly’s Take
Based on the ratings thus far, I think OWN will renew Queen Sugar for a third season. I must say, though, if it tanks it the ratings, I reserve the right to change my mind. While I’m always in the mood for a sweet treat, I just don’t see this yummy drama landing on my menu, this season.
