Queen Sugar has some new company. Deadline reports Sharon Lawrence, Alimi Ballard, and Margot Bingham have joined season two of the OWN TV show.
The drama chronicles the lives and loves of the estranged Bordelon siblings, who must come together to try to save the family sugarcane farm after a tragedy. The cast includes Bianca Lawson, Dawn-Lyen Gardner, Dondré Whitfield, Rutina Wesley, Glynn Turman, Greg Vaughan, and Henry G. Sanders.
Season two of Queen Sugar is set to debut on OWN on June 20th.
From Deadline:
Lawrence will play Lorna, the mother of Charley Bordelon. Sophisticated, charismatic, and complicated, Lorna is a successful, self-motivated businesswoman who raised her daughter to never settle for second best.
