Giddy up! The Ranch TV show on Netflix has been renewed for a second season. Star Ashton Kutcher tweeted, “It’s official: Season 2 of @TheRanchNetflix, coming 2017!” Check it out, below. Attached to the tweet is a video in which Kutcher, Sam Elliot, and Danny Masterson announce Netflix has picked up season two of The Ranch. There will be 20 episodes. Netflix splits each 20-episode season into two parts of 10 episodes each, so in other words, the comedy is renewed for parts three and four.
The first season just premiered globally Friday, April 1, 2016. Set in modern Colorado, the series stars Kutcher as Colt. A failed semi-pro football player, Colt returns home to manage the family ranch. There, he must work with his estranged big brother Jameson “Rooster” (Danny Masterson) and dad Beau (Sam Elliott). Debra Winger stars as Colt and Rooster’s mom, Maggie, who runs the nearby saloon.
