Samuel L. Jackson Developing Celebrity Hometown Series

Samuel L. Jackson and LaTanya Richardson Jackson are developing a new unscripted celebrity-centric series with Steve Harvey EP Rushion McDonald and FreemantleMedia North America. The project will bring A-listers back to their childhood homes and old neighborhoods, to see how their childhoods influenced the people they are today.

The still untitled series was created by executive producers Jackson, Richardson Jackson, and McDonald. FremantleMedia North America will produce. Zoe Jackson and FMNA’s Jennifer Mullin and Toby Gorman will also executive produce.

Ms. Richardson Jackson recurred on the fifth season of the Blue Bloods TV series on CBS as Lt. Dee Ann Carver. Mr. Jackson, who works primarily in film, has guest starred as Nick Fury on Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD on ABC.

FMNA AND SAMUEL L. & LATANYA JACKSON PARTNER ON CELEB SERIES

Samuel L. Jackson, LaTanya Jackson, Rushion McDonald and FremantleMedia North America (FMNA) announced today that they are teaming up to develop a new star-studded celebrity series. This is Samuel L. Jackson’s first unscripted project.

The currently untitled series takes A-list celebrities back to the house they grew up in, visiting old haunts and meeting familiar faces. How did their childhood shape the person they are today? What about any unfinished business or doing something to give back? These questions and more will be answered in this star-studded series that will see celebrities embarking on emotional journeys that will change their lives forever.
