TORONTO (November 10, 2014) – CTV announced today a Season 4 order for its hit original drama series SAVING HOPE (@SavingHopeTV) from Ilana Frank’s ICF Films and Entertainment One (eOne). Eighteen new episodes of Canada’s most-watched original drama brings the series total to 67 episodes, with production set to begin Summer 2015 in Toronto. The Season 4 order comes on the heels of the return of new episodes of SAVING HOPE’s third season in its new Wednesdays at 10 p.m. ET/PT timeslot, starting Nov. 26 on CTV and CTV GO. The four all-new episodes culminate in a must-watch cliff-hanger on Dec. 17, before additional new Season 3 episodes continue in January 2015.

The emotionally-charged start of SAVING HOPE’s third season began earlier this fall with a six-episode run. Currently averaging 1.5 million viewers, SAVING HOPE consistently won its Thursdays at 9 p.m. timeslot not only among total viewers but also in all key demos, the first Canadian original series to ever do so during the fall season. SAVING HOPE led its closest competitor, GRACEPOINT (Global/FOX), by +30% (P2+), +45% (A18-49), +76% (A25-54), and +54% (A18-34).

“Amassing a loyal fan base from across the country during its three seasons to date, SAVING HOPE continues to play a strong and integral role in our #1 fall lineup,” said Phil King, President – CTV, Sports, an‎d Entertainment Programming. “We look forward to continuing our relationship with the incredible cast and crew to deliver a fourth season of this hit drama.”

Season 3 began with a special two-part premiere, in which Dr. Alex Reid (Erica Durance) was fighting to survive after being stabbed in the heart. Following her recovery, sparks are ignited with her ex, Dr. Joel Goran (Daniel Gillies), while Dr. Charlie Harris (Michael Shanks) revisits old feelings with his ex-wife Dr. Dawn Bell (Michelle Nolden). Hope Zion said goodbye to one of its own, Dr. Gavin Murphy (Kristopher Turner), while the hospital also welcomed new OB/GYN, Dr. Sydney Katz (Stacey Farber). There’s no break in the action, as Season 3 continues with a bevy of pulse‐pounding surgeries, adrenaline‐addled breakthroughs, and sultry romances ahead of its Fall Finale on Dec. 17.

In an all-new episode of SAVING HOPE, entitled “The Way We Were” (Wednesday, Nov. 26 at 10 p.m. ET/PT on CTV and CTV GO), Dr. Shahir Hamza (Huse Madhavji) and Dr. Alex Reid (Erica Durance) try to save the memory of a young woman suffering from Alzheimer’s with a radical surgery, but it’s another one of Hope Zion Hospital’s doctors whose life is threatened, requiring immediate medical attention. Meanwhile, Dr. Tom Reycraft (K.C. Collins) has a moral decision to make when he discovers one of his mentors is hiding a big secret. Plus, Dr. Charlie Harris (Michael Shanks) finds himself embroiled with the future baby wishes of Dawn (Michelle Nolden), and the final wishes of a con-man spirit. This episode features guest stars Danso Gordon (THE HUSTLE), Mac Fyfe (M.V.P.), and C. David Johnson (STREET LEGAL).
