Scandal fans have a lot wait ahead of them. Season six will premiere on ABC in early 2017, and Shonda Rhimes is already planning the next OMG worthy moment.
The creator of the series did not drop any hints about what is next on the popular series, which stars Kerry Washington. However, she did offer one small teaser at an event held over the weekend.
She said the following about season six, according to Entertainment Weekly:
“I don’t know if you all will notice this — because Olivia beats people to death with chairs and stuff — but I feel like I can see it: There’s an optimism that exists in the work now. I think it’s especially true in Grey’s [Anatomy]. On Grey’s, there’s definitely a sense of optimism. And on Scandal, we’re heading some place that’s optimistic.”
Does this mean that season six will end the series? It has been teased as a possibility for the series in previous interviews. Fans will have to wait until next year to find out.
