Get ready for more adventures with Scooby and the gang. Netflix has landed Scooby-Doo! The Live Action Series following bidding against multiple other outlets, per Deadline. The streaming service has given the series a script-to-series order.

The project comes from Greg Berlanti and Berlanti Productions, with Josh Appelbaum and Scott Rosenberg writing the series.

This new live-action series will update the popular cartoon from Hanna-Barbera, which first premiered in 1969. Featuring Fred Jones, Daphne Blake, Velma Dinkley, Shaggy Rogers, and their talking Great Dane, Scooby-Doo, the cartoon follows the teens as they investigate mysteries.

Over the past 55 years, viewers have seen several series incarnations of Scooby and his friends. There have been four live-action movies featuring the entire gang and another, which revolves around Daphne & Velma. Most recently, the adult animated Velma series has been released on Max. The latest animated series for kids, Scooby-Doo and Guess Who?, ran for two seasons and 52 episodes.

Additional details and a premiere date for Scooby-Doo! The Live Action Series will be announced in the future.

What do you think? Are you a fan of this famous cartoon franchise? Will you check out the new series when it arrives on Netflix?
