ABC has cast Katy Mixon in its TV show pilot for The Second Fattest Housewife in Westport comedy. Mixon co-stars as Victoria Flynn on Mike & Molly, which has been cancelled by CBS and will soon end.
The pilot comes from novelist and TV writer, Sarah Dunn and producer Aaron Kaplan, with ABC Studios. A couple of weeks ago, Superstore‘s Ruben Fleischer was selected direct.
Deadline says Mixon will play Katie, “…a (slightly) larger, strong-willed mother raising her flawed family of three in a wealthy town filled with ‘perfect’ wives and their ‘perfect’ offspring.”
