Hope returns to the Four Lands. MTV has begun production on the second season of The Shannara Chronicles TV show. Miles Millar, who created the series with Alfred Gough, posted a photo last night of the first shot. Next, the writers kicked up their social media game. Check it out, after the jump.
A futuristic fantasy drama, The Shannara Chronicles stars Ivana Baquero, Manu Bennett, Emilia Burns, Austin Butler, and Poppy Drayton. Aaron Jakubenko, Daniel MacPherson, and John Rhys-Davies also star. As of now MTV has not yet announced the second season release date. When we know, you will, too.

In addition, the writers just opened an Instagram account. So far, they have posted the photo Millar tweeted (above), and also shared a season one shot, featuring Austin Butler as Wil Ohmsford and Manu Bennett as Allanon.
