Last year on ABC, the Shark Tank TV show dropped some in the ratings, but it still did better than some of their more expensive scripted TV series. Now that the business-focused series is back for its 10th season on the air and will mark its 200th episode, can it reel in some new viewers, or will it take on more water? Will Shark Tank be cancelled or renewed for season 11? Stay tuned. *Status update below.
An ABC reality TV series, Shark Tank features entrepreneurs seeking investments from a group of savvy, wealthy investors who are “self-made” tycoons. These regular “sharks” are Robert Herjavec, Kevin O’Leary, Barbara Corcoran, Daymond John, Mark Cuban, and Lori Greiner. They offer everyday people a shot at the American dream and the possibility of striking business deals beyond their wildest dreams. Guest entrepreneurs in Shark Tank season 10 include Charles Barkley, Alex Rodriguez, Sara Blakely, Bethenny Frankel, Rohan Oza, Matt Higgins, Jamie Siminoff.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly in the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available — typically around 11:30am EST/8:30am PST. Refresh to see the latest.
5/13 update: You can see the latest night’s ratings in context.

For comparisons: The ninth season of Shark Tank averaged a 1.00 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 4.100 million total viewers (live + same day ratings).
Note: These are the Live + Same Day Ratings which include “live” viewing plus delayed DVR viewing, up until 3am local time that same night. Ratings marked with an “*” are the fast affiliate ratings and will be updated with the Live+SD numbers when they are made available. Typically, networks get paid for C+3 ratings which includes DVR viewing within three days of the original airing when commercials are watched. Those numbers are rarely released to the press.
What do you think? Do you still like the Shark Tank TV series? Should it be cancelled or renewed for an 11th season on ABC?
*2/5/19 update: ABC has renewed the Shark Tank TV show for an 11th season.
