Skylanders Academy isn’t going away anytime soon. Deadline reports Netflix has renewed the series for a third season ahead of its season two debut later this year.
Based on the Activision Blizzard video game franchise, the animated show follows an unlikely group of heroes who come together to protect the universe from evil invaders. The voice cast includes Justin Long, Ashley Tisdale, Jonathan Banks, Norm Macdonald, Catherine O’Hara, and Bobcat Goldthwait.
Production on season three of Skylanders Academy will begin this month, with a premiere slated for 2018. Season two is expected to debut on Netflix later this year.
