South Park: New Episodes Start September 26th

South Park new episodesComedy Central has announced that they’ll be airing new episodes of South Park, starting Wednesday, September 26th. These are the final seven installments of season 16. The first seven aired earlier this year, in March and April.

The cable channel has already renewed the animated series through season 20 so there will be new episodes coming at least until 2016.

NEW YORK, Sept. 10, 2012 — “South Park” returns with seven all-new episodes beginning on Wednesday, September 26 at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT on Comedy Central.

The all-new “South Park” episodes from this season are available in HD exclusively on Xbox LIVE, iTunes, Sony PlayStation Network, Amazon Instant Video and Vudu, and in SD on Samsung Media Hub and iN Demand. Episodes are also available on SouthParkStudios.com.

Voted “The Greatest Animated TV Series” in a poll conducted by Entertainment Weekly, Comedy Central’s “South Park” launched on August 13, 1997. The series airs Wednesday nights at 10:00 p.m. and repeats later that night at midnight (all times ET/PT).

Co-creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone, along with Anne Garefino, are Executive Producers of the Emmy(R) and Peabody(R) Award-winning “South Park.” Frank C. Agnone II is the Supervising Producer.
