What would’ve happened if The Spectacular Spider-Man had a third season? A fan of the show has compiled all of producer Greg Weisman’s plans for the cancelled Marvel series.
The animated show followed the adventures of high schooler Peter Parker, aka Spider-Man. The series debuted on The CW in 2008 before moving to Disney XD for its second and last season in 2009. A third season of the show was planned, but the show was cancelled due to legal reasons.
Over the years, Weisman has spoke about what the third season of The Spectacular Spider-Man would look like. Apparently, the planned season would have involved the introduction of Spider-tracers, new villains including Scorpion and Hobgoblin, a musical episode, and significantly more character development.
As of now, Marvel has not announced any plans to revive The Spectacular Spider-Man.
