Star Trek: Discovery: Season Two Production Has Begun

Star Trek: Discovery is back in action. Today, CBS All Access announced production has begun on the TV show’s second season.

The newest installment in the Star Trek franchise takes place 10 years before the original series and stars Jason Isaacs, Mary Wiseman, Sonequa Martin-Green, Rainn Wilson, Doug Jones, Anthony Rapp, Michelle Yeoh, and James Frain.

CBS All Access has not yet announced a premiere date for season two of Star Trek: Discovery, but you can watch a sneak peek below:

Production officially began last week on the second season of STAR TREK: DISCOVERY with Executive Producer and Co-Creator Alex Kurtzman directing the premiere episode.

STAR TREK: DISCOVERY follows the voyages of Starfleet on their missions to discover new worlds and new life forms, and one Starfleet officer who must learn that to truly understand all things alien, you must first understand yourself.

All episodes of season one are now available to watch on CBS All Access, CBS’ digital subscription video on demand and live streaming service, and is distributed concurrently by CBS Studios International on Netflix in 188 countries and in Canada on Bell Media’s Space channel and OTT service CraveTV. STAR TREK: DISCOVERY is produced by CBS Television Studios in association with Secret Hideout and Roddenberry Entertainment.”
