Star Trek TV show on CBS All Access: season 1 canceled or renewed?

TrekCore reports Kirsten Beyer is joining the writing staff of the upcoming Star Trek TV show sequel, for CBS All Access. Beyer has written eight Star Trek: Voyager novels, set after the crew’s return from the Delta Quadrant.

TrekMovie.com says, “Beyer is known for her knowledge of Trek canon and for her ability stay true to canon.”

TrekCore adds:

The author has been praised for her knack with tying disparate bits of Trek continuity together in her novels, tying relatively obscure or one-time events from the Voyager television episodes into her writing, and may bring a similar skill set to the Trek 2017 writers room.
