Jake Johnson is coming to ABC. Deadline reports the New Girl star has joined the network’s upcoming TV show Stumptown.
The drama series “follows Dex Parios (Cobie Smulders) as a strong, assertive, and sharp-witted army veteran with a complicated love life, gambling debt, and a brother to take care of in Portland, Oregon.” The cast also includes Michael Ealy, Tantoo Cardinal, Cole Sibus, and Camryn Manheim.
On Stumptown, Johnson will be playing Grey McConnell, Dex’s best friend. Johnson is replacing Mark Webber, who played McConnell in the ABC series pilot.
Stumptown is slated to debut on ABC this fall.
