Succession: Season One Ratings

Succession TV show on HBO: season 1 ratings (canceled renewed season 2?)

With Game of Thrones nearing the end, HBO is on the hunt for another unqualified hit. Enter the Succession TV show. While this modern tale of palace intrigue takes place in the halls of commerce, rather than Westeros, it still features the quest for power and compulsion to control. Without fantasy drama trappings, can it still reel in the average premium cable subscriber? Will Succession be cancelled or renewed for season two on HBO? Stay tuned. *Status update below.

An HBO family drama from creator Jesse Armstrong, Succession stars Brian Cox, Jeremy Strong, Hiam Abbass, Sarah Snook, Kieran Culkin, Alan Ruck, Nicholas Braun, Matthew Macfadyen, Natalie Gold, Peter Friedman, and Rob Yang. Unfolding in New York, Succession follows the Roy family, which controls the Waystar Royco media conglomerate. Since patriarch Logan (Cox) is turning 80, the rest of the family is preparing for him to step aside. Logan, however, doesn’t intend to step down. Instead, he unveils his new plan to choose his successor, which throws the whole clan for a loop.
