Supernatural has already been renewed for season 12 by CW, and there is now news about a new addition to the cast, and the series is borrowing from another CW program.
TV Line reported that Elizabeth Blackmore, who currently appears on The Vampire Diaries as a heretic and the lost love of Stefan Salvatore, will join Supernatural in a role that will first appear on an episode this season. She will then return as a recurring member of the cast for season 12.
Not much is known about her role at this time, but she will play a woman named Lady Toni Bevell. She will be from the UK, and she will have a lot in common with the Winchester brothers.
There is no mention of her role on The Vampire Diaries, but Ian Somerhalder mentioned at an event on Sunday that season eight would be the last season of that series.
