TV show description:
A single-camera comedy, the Swedish Dicks TV show centers on former stuntman Ingmar (Stormare) and a Swedish DJ, Axel (Glans). While Ingmar is having trouble letting go of the past, Axel is a bit lost in the digital world. Together, they decide to move forward and open Swedish Dicks, a private detective agency.
Once upon a time, Ingmar managed to make a living in show business. But ten years ago, his best friend Tex (Reeves) died as the result of injuries sustained in an action scene on Blood Curse 2. As the stunt coordinator, Ingmar was blamed. Tex still haunts him, to this day.
Meanwhile, Axel struggled as a DJ and finally realized that maybe he’s a bit too old for the job. He moves to Los Angeles looking for a fresh start, which is where he meets up with Ingmar. Now he’s hoping the older man will be a mentor to him.
Sun (Bang), who runs the Swedish Dicks office, claims she was once a graphic designer in the North Korean propaganda ministry. She helps the dicks hack into the competition’s computers and also does routine maintenance. While she’s good at solving problems, she has a penchant for profanity and violence.
Jane McKinney (Lords) is the founder of what she claims is the best investigation agency in L.A. As Ingmar’s nemesis, Jane never misses an opportunity to remind him that her company is slightly better than Swedish Dicks — at everything.
Ingmar’s daughter Sarah (Cooper) is a lawyer, who sometimes consults with the firm on legal issues. While Ingmar longs to guide her in how she lives her life, she says she can take care of herself. Still, her daddy issues are obvious to all.
Can Ingmar and Axel succeed with Swedish Dicks? Will Ingmar ever be free from the past? Can Axel get it together and get his life in hand? Stay tuned.
