What’s This TV Show About?

Airing on the NBC television network, Taken stars Clive Standen, Jennifer Beals, Gaius Charles, Brooklyn Sudano, Monique Gabriela Curnen, Michael Irby, James Landry Hébert, and Jose Pablo Cantillo. A prequel set thirty years prior to the Liam Neeson feature film trilogy, the Taken TV show follows the young, hungry, former Green Beret, Bryan Mills (Standen). After a personal tragedy upends his life, he embarks on a quest for vengeance. While working as a CIA operative, Mills hones his infamously lethal skill set. He works for Special Deputy Director of National Intelligence, Christina Hart (Beals), and alongside his OPCON teammates Dave (Cantillo), John (Charles), Becca Vlasik (Curnen), Scott (Michael Irby), and Rem (James Landry Hébert). Finally, there is attorney Asha Flyn (Sudano). Beautiful and motivated, she reconnects with Bryan at a critical point in their lives.

Telly’s Take

The series premiered with mediocre numbers and the ratings have gotten much worse — despite having The Voice as a lead-in. I suspect that the Taken TV show will be cancelled and not renewed for a second season.
