The pack is back. The sixth and final season of the Teen Wolf TV show premieres tonight on MTV at 9:00pm ET/PT. Watch the new title sequence, and check out the season six spoilers, after the jump.
In advance of the Teen Wolf season six premiere, executive producer Jeff Davis is teasing the last chapter of the story. New villains are coming to town to erase Stiles (Dylan O’Brien) from everyone’s memory. The supernatural drama series also stars Tyler Posey, Holland Roden, Shelley Hennig, and Dylan Sprayberry.

Jeff Davis Teases Teen Wolf‘s Sixth and Final Season
Davis revealed to TV Line that he took the season six premiere episode title, “Memory Lost” from a feature film script he wrote a long time ago. TV Line reports:
“We approached this season with the knowledge that we’d have limited access to Dylan O’Brien because of his burgeoning movie career, and thinking, ‘If this is the last 20 episodes of Teen Wolf, how do we give everyone a really big send-off?’” executive producer Jeff Davis tells TVLine. “We came up with this story that creates this big mystery about Stiles and the memory of Stiles.”
The theme of this final season, Davis explains, is “how your life can be affected and changed by one person, and what that loss means. It’s all about memory, and how memory shapes us.” And that “one person” is O’Brien’s character, who — as revealed in the trailers for Season 6 — becomes “erased” from existence by the dreaded Riders; their backstory will become clear “towards the climax of the season.”
Balancing the Past with the Present in the Final Installment of Teen Wolf
The showrunner said there has been a lot of talk about which characters they should bring back for the sixth season. Kira (Arden Cho) will come up later in the season, and it is possible fans will see her, again.
New Beacon Hills High teacher Garrett Douglas (Pete Ploszek) is likely connected to the Nazi werewolves who appeared in the fifth season finale.
Davis is trying to honor the show’s history, while driving Scott’s pack forward. He says there is one episode in which they’ll return to to the past, for reasons necessitated by plot.
“It’s hard not to start looking back, which we do, but we’re trying to stay away from the kind of series finales where it feels like a role call of every character who’s been on the show. We still want to keep it new.”
