TV show description:      
One night, high schooler Scott McCall (Tyler Posey) is convinced by his best friend, Stiles Stilinski (Dylan O’Brien), to search in the woods for a young woman’s missing body. Stiles gets busted by his father, the Sheriff (Linden Ashby), but Scott escapes and gets lost. He stumbles across the body and is attacked by a wolf-like beast. Scott manages to escape with his life — and a pretty major bite.

At school the next day, Scott finds that his senses have become heightened. He’s assigned to serve as goalie for the lacrosse team at practice and miraculously stops every attempt to score — even the one made by arrogant captain Jackson Whittemore (Colton Haynes). He’s the boyfriend of equally popular, intelligent, and obnoxious Lydia Martin (Holland Roden).

Scott returns to the woods with Stiles to try to figure out what’s happening to him. They run into Derek Hale (Tyler Hoechlin), an imposing, handsome and unfriendly figure who tells the teens to stop trespassing. He seems to know why they’re there and Scott senses something familiar about him.

At school, Scott meets the beautiful new girl in town, Allison Argent (Crystal Reed), and they hit it off pretty quickly. She agrees to go to a party with him and all is going pretty well until Scott starts to be racked with pain. Confused, he barely makes it home before starting to transform into a werewolf.

Stiles comes to check on him and Scott finds out that Derek gave Allison a ride home. Believing that Derek is the wolf that bit him, Scott races back to the woods to save her from being killed like the other young woman. It turns out that Allison is safe at home but Derek is waiting for Scott. Before they can say much, Scott’s attacked by a team of hunters who is led by, it turns out, Allison’s father (JR Bourne). Injured, Scott barely escapes with help from Derek. He admits to having bitten Scott and says that he will teach him how to survive and use his new heightened abilities.
