Will there be a second season of The Alienist? Recently, the cast spoke with The Hollywood Reporter about the future of the TNT TV show.
Based on the Caleb Carr novel, the historical drama centers on Laszlo Kreizler (Daniel Brühl), an alienist, i.e. a criminal psychologist, who helps investigate a serial killer preying on boy prostitutes. The cast also includes :uke Evans, Dakota Fanning, Brian Geraghty, Douglas Smith, and Matthew Shear.
Season one of The Alienist already wrapped, but will TNT renew the series for season two? Luke Evans says the cast would happily return:
We all got on very well, and I think it was a very rewarding experience for all of us as actors. We’re very proud of what we’ve created. It was a limited series, and we’ve done the whole book, but if asked to go back, I think we’d all quite happily say yes.”
