You may recall that Undercover Boss became a huge hit for CBS last year after a post-Super Bowl debut. Season one averaged a whopping 4.6 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 14.62 million viewers. This season has come way down, but is still averaging a very respectable 3.1 demo rating and 11.52 million viewers.
The Amazing Race’s fall season averaged a healthy 3.3 rating in the demo and 10.93 million viewers. The current season isn’t doing as well, averaging a 2.6 in the demo and 9.24 million. That’s down by 16% in the demo when compared to last spring’s season averages of a 3.13 rating and 10.31 million. For now, Race is set to return in the Fall. A spring season looks to be up in the air for now.
CBS reportedly hasn’t determined if both Boss and Race will remain on Sunday nights but it seems likely since the network is touting how well both have performed opposite Sunday night football on NBC.
