Love it or hate it, you can’t deny that The Bachelor is still one of ABC’s most successful unscripted programs. It’s no surprise that the network has renewed the show for a 20th season.
Hosted by Chris Harrison, the most recent season of The Bachelor (featuring farmer Chris Soules) averaged a 2.35 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 8.2 million total viewers. It was down by 10% and 4% in the respective categories. As of this writing, The Bachelor is ABC’s highest-rated unscripted series in the coveted demo this season.
It’s expected that The Bachelor will return in early 2016. The upcoming 11th season of The Bachelorette launches on May 18th. Spin-off Bachelor in Paradise kicks off its second season on August 2nd.
