Final fall season averages: 2.21 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 7.81 million total viewers. Compared to the Fall 2010 season, Biggest Loser was down by 18% in the demo and up by 5% in total viewers.

Episode 12-03: Tuesday, 10/4/11
2.1 in the demo (-9% episode-to-episode change) with 5.72 million; third place in the timeslot at 8pm, fourth place at 9pm.

Season average: 2.2 in the demo with 5.92 million.

Episode 12-02: Tuesday, 9/27/11
There wasn’t any better news in week two but at the least the demo didn’t drop any lower. The episode attracted a 2.3 in the demo with 5.87 million viewers (down 5%).
Season average: 2.3 in the demo with 6.02 million.

Episode 12-01: Tuesday, 9/20/11
As if NBC didn’t have enough problems with their new shows, their once-popular reality series had a disappointing debut. It bowed with a 2.3 in the 18-49 demographic with 6.17 million viewers. That represents a decline of 26% in the demo. The show was in third place for the 8pm hour and fourth place at 9pm. Not good news for the peacock network.


Reference point: The Fall 2010-11 season averaged a 2.7 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 7.44 million viewers.

Note: These ratings are collected by the Nielsen company and are the final national numbers. These are different from the fast affiliate numbers which are just estimates of the actual ratings and are reported on by most other outlets. The final nationals are typically released within 24 hours of the programming or, in the case of weekends and holidays, a couple days later.
