MTV’s rocking the vote. According to Variety, the network is developing a political dramedy titled The Campaigners.
The series comes from Jeremy Garelick, who previously wrote and directed The Wedding Ringer, and Aaron Cooley. The show will follow some ambitious undergrads who use social media to fake a senatorial candidate. Then, a mysterious person arrives and alleges they are the real candidate.
Cooley is slated to write the pilot, with Garelick to direct.
